Project Accountant
Grade: Team Leader/Technical Expert

Make a Difference in the Financial Planning and Analysis team.
This is an exciting time to join the Wesleyan financial planning team within their transformation arm, for a maternity cover fixed term contract.  Within this role you will have extensive interaction with operational teams across the organisation and will be pivotal to building relationships, as well as using financial data to drive key decision making within the programmes. 

Your Impact 
Here’s how you’ll make a difference: 

  • Business partnering with Programme Managers and Directors providing financial insight, challenging assumptions and supporting decision making across key projects or programmes.
  • Lead financial management and provide accurate monthly financial information, highlighting risks and opportunities, and key variances including recommended actions.
  • Work closely with operational delivery teams to identify efficiencies and financial optimisation.
  • Provide scenario analysis and forward-looking insights to support programme delivery and long-term planning.

What You’ll Bring 

  • A fully qualified accountant or working towards the qualification with only a few exams to take before qualifying.
  • Experience of finance business partnering across a range of projects and programmes. 
  • Strong communication skills;
  • Excellent customer service in dealing with internal and external customer queries;
  • Excellent problem solving and business analysis skills;
  • Ability and motivation to deliver tasks under pressure to tight deadlines;
  • Excellent attention to detail;
  • Ability to work on own initiative;
  • Strong knowledge of Excel and Word;
  • An organised and flexible approach to work.
